At work, talking to my boss and I announce.
"When I was a kid I really loved Dicks." I paused for a moment and said. "That really sounds bad." Where my boss nearly fell on the floor laughing.
This is probably where context should come into play. lol
Here in Spokane, there is one in Seattle as well, we have a burger place called Dicks. It is an "old fashioned" burger place modeled after the first McDonalds. What that means it is a burger place with no lobby or dining area, you just drive up and park your car and walk up to a window where you place your order. Then they give you a burger that is only topped with Ketchup, Mustard, Pickles, Onions and possibly cheese if you order a cheese burger. Ask for Mayo, tomatoes or lettuce and they give you a weird look.
The conversation we were having was obviously about that burger place, but more specifically how long it had been since we had been there before trying it again. For me it had been since I was a kid, and I loved the place. Always wanted to go there. Probably because you had to eat outside or in your car. Simply pleasures.
So I go there not long after where I work moved to a different building, we're right down the street from the place. It really isn't that good, really greesy. It is cheap though.
Thus ends the story you didn't need, or probably want to hear.
