Jake, you will be greatly missed

Why do I have to live in a town full of white trash bastards who'd shoot a wobbly arthritic dog based on breed? My 15 year old wrot. got out last night for the first time in his life. We just found him behind his pen, shot, where he had apparently come home to die.

He was a loving dog who had never hurt anyone, and was loved by a great many people. The amount of cruelty in this world is...

Megan, that is awful!  Did you call the police?

I hope you find out who did it, and prosecute them!  You should contact your local Humane Society.  They, quite often, have resources to assist in having people brought to trial for animal cruelty.

I am very sorry for your loss.

I agree. Humane Society is definitely a place to go and get something done, at the very least for your own sake.

I'm so sorry to hear about that, the face that anyone can even think of doing something like that brings tears to my eyes. I'm a big dog person, and could never imagine hurting one, much less pointing a gun at one.

No jury of decent people would convict for that. I'm so sorry to hear that Megan. There are some truly evil people in the world and may they be judged appropriately.

I'm so very sorry, Meg.  Having just gone through it, it's brutal losing a pet.  Losing one like that though is absolutely horrific.

My deepest condolences.
