Topic: gathering storm question chapter one reference

hi folks, thanks for help in advance.

in chapter "tears from steel" page 59 hard cover,
there is a reference to Rand's current sword.

"...the weapon is long, slightly curved....."

then it says: "...he had taken to wearing the immediately....
he had recognized it immediately..."  from Rand's own memories.

i've read all prior books.  but i don't remember when he got this sword.
can someone refresh my memory?

Unless I am thinking of a different swrod, it was a present from Aviendha. It was the former king of Carhein, Laman's sword that the Aiel claimed after killing him.
