yeah, I agree...Mat's story was good.  But Todd has it right when he says that there is *something* missing in Mat's story telling.  His humor wasn't quite right.  Still, though...Mat has got to be my favorite character!  (Well besides Hurin the sniffer!)

ya there really is something off about Mat but that prob comes from Brandon Sanderson's different writing style right. hes still a awesome character tho

rand never saw her body disappear right.
however, maybe the compulsion on Ramshalan disappearing is proof enough.

It's like my wife's soap opras...if you don't see the blood leaking out of her body and actually listen to her heart stopping. (or if you don't witness the BaleFire popping her out of space/time)  Then she ain't dead!

Dead for sure: Ravhin, Bel'al, Semirhage, Sammael, Aginor

Maybe Dead: Asmodean, Graendal

Alive: Lanfear(Cyndane), Demandred, Ishamael(Moridin), Belthamel, Moghedien, Mesaana

that means that maybe 8 of the Forsaken are left.
i want to know what happened to Asmodean!!!

I think you can put Admodean as dead for sure, he was killed by one of the DO's servants. He isn't coming back. Other than that your list is pretty dead on.

I'm still not sure about Sammael...he was eaten by Mashadar in Shadar Logath.  But does that mean he couldn't be raised again by the DO?  It's true that Rand was balefireing him at the same time...so, maybe he's totally out of the pattern.  However, the way that scene was written...I was left with an incomplete notion of Sammael's demise.

According to some research, Robert Jordan has said that Sammael is 'dead' and even said that 'he's toast'. 

Still, that leaves room for reincarnation in my book. 

I'm putting Sammael in the same boat as Greandel...until the end of the series and he still hasn't come back.  LOL!

if not, then he woulda came back alive long ago dont u think?
Lanfear died in FoH if i am right
and she came back by book 6, or 8 right
Sammael died in book 7, he shoulda been brought back soon if he could be
reincarnated.
