Love them - like waaaay a lot!

The voices may not be real, but they have some pretty good ideas...

Good crazy wow! Those covers are freaking incredible!

I found some good links here:

Just awesome!  The real books would sell so much better with this artwork!  Seriously!

I have put all the ebook covers in the gallery here. They've been up there the whole time. :)

Right. But that link I've included has additional information about the art and artist.  Plus, it has some interviews with the artists and additional pictures of their 'work in progress'.  It's pretty neat.

Check it out.

By the way, where did my Avatar pic go?  I love that one!  :-)

It was that fire and ice dragon YenYang symbol...

I think it was loaded on my friends server. I'll have to check with him to see if he trashed my account.  I haven't used it in forever!  hahaha  He probably just deleted all my stuff....and that's why the link was broken.

You can upload it here. If you lose it here the forums are probably gone. ;)

The cover for the Great Hunt is so far above Darrel Sweet's that I almost want to find his house and urinate on him for the travesty he gave us all those years ago.

Is that too harsh?

Not really. Outside of the first WoT cover, which I actually like somewhat, the series has a whole as been terrible. I can't believe with a series this popular they've stuck with Sweet and his ****ty covers. Honestly, I'd probably be stunned if I actually saw a halfway decent cover on any of them.

You know, with these new covers coming out for the eBooks, I'd buy the series again just to have them in the printed format. They have been that good.

You're exactly right!  With the popularity of the series you'd think "the powers that be" would change artists.  (especially with the grumblings we've all express over the life of the series so far.)

I was looking at George RR Martin's site and he has about 20 different covers for each of his Ice and Fire books.  Why can't Jordan have some options like that too?  Maybe he does and I just don't know where to find them...

Anyway, these ebook covers are just light years better than the physical book covers!  It's just rediculous...seriously!

Personally, I think Sweet did a decent job on some of the covers.  Eye of the World was a nice cover, Dragon Reborn was epic looking when I first went to the store to buy it.  I hated the painted cover of ACoS.  I have the first print release of that one without the painting cover and have never replaced it.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I think that the Sweet covers are just kind of "blah" for me.  A couple are epic, but for the most part the rest don't really do the series justice.  I mean, they're pretty, but I want epic!

And the Great Hunt cover Sweet did, as I have mentioned before, is a disgusting travesty.  I don't know what he saw when he was reading the book but that short little elf ****er had better not be Loial, or I really will do the peeing thing.
