Well, it's done.

Barry Bonds has broken Henry Aaron's record.

Records are made to be broken.  And if Bonds had one tenth the class and love for the game that Aaron had and has, I'd be fine with it.

But he doesn't, and I'm not.

Hammerin' Hank will always be the homerun King to me.
The voices may not be real, but they have some pretty good ideas...

Bond's is a cheater. 'Nuff said.
I could have been a contender.

I can't stand to see him on the front pages!

Luckily, nobody else can stand him either...so, it'll only be a few days of this 'press coverage' and then he'll disappear...finally!

Don't worry about it, the way stadiums and athletes are now, no one will ever hold records for long. I'll give Bonds another season, maybe two before retirement. The one to watch is Alex Rodriguez, and I HATE Arod. Such a freakin' prick.

Ugh.

The people in Seattle used to love ARod, until he promised that he wouldn't sign anywhere just for big money, and then did just that with the Rangers. Needless to say Seattle thinks he is a prick as well.

Yeah, I remember that controversy, did the same thing to Texas, just without the promise :P

He's just a big prat overall, the way he treats the press and his team members is just pathetic.

He's an amazing player, I'll give him that, but compared to Jeter, Kenny Rogers, most any other big name (Even Bonds somtimes), he just isn't a team player.

It's so disappointing when sports people cheapen their own achievements by taking performance enhancing drugs.

It's funny, I've tried steriods...but it's never helped me finish a post!

I'm a gigantic St. Louis Cardinal fan (the Cardinals are St. Louis' professional Baseball team...for those of you who don't live in the states).  I know Mark McGwire has the rep of taking performance enhancing drugs...but, you know, he's different in that he was always nice, courtious, and good to the media and fans.  It's the same with Albert Pujols...the guy is Mark Mcgwire's protege when it comes to attitude and emotions.  Fortunately for me...he's also about ten times better than Mcgwire in every aspect of the game!  hahahaha  (and he's really not on steriods)

Go Cardinals!!!

(I'll be at this Saturday's Cardinal game...by the way!)
