Who will die, who will live
« on: May 02, 2008, 06:42:01 PM »
After the last battle who will still be alive and who will not. I hate Elanye so maybe she give birth within the first two chapters of AMOL then get herself killed at the middle. Lan will make it but will be bad off for it. Taim has to die, Logain wil be the one who does him in.

*l* That's kind of rough, and by Elayne do you mean Nynaeve, or by Lan do you mean Rand? I don't see why Lan would be too torn up about Elayne dying, except for Rand/Nynaeve's grief from it.

Hmm... I'd like to think Perrin will die, but I really doubt any of the three ta'veren will die, Rand is the most likely choice.

I think Mat will survive and keep the armies from trying to take dominance after the war is over, Perrin will probably take over as King of Manetheren/The Two Rivers.

Lan and Nynaeve I think will retire to Tar Valon, Mat will live happily ever after with Tuon, Perrin with Faile, etc.

I think perhaps the two more probable deaths could be Thom and Moiraine (Again)

Logain will survive I believe, and probably marry some Aes Sedai he bonded.

Taim? Dead. I'm pretty convinced he's a Forsaken (and he's my number one for who killed Asmodean)

Rand... That's the mystery, as I said in the other post, I think he'll "die" in Tarmon Gaidon, and will sneak away to the Waste or some such. The only reason Elayne would leave Camelyn is if he asked (Wow, these names come back pretty easily), and Gawyn took the throne. (Oh, and i'm pretty sure he'll pound out a couple of kids with Egwene) So I think perhaps Rand will run off with his wives and kids.

Galad... Never liked him, I hope he gets wrecked by someone.

That's everyone that I can think of right now...

Hum.

I think that Galad will end up with Berelain.  That would qualify as being wrecked by someone.

I think it was Min who had a Viewing of Berelain that paired her with a "man in white".  Galad is a Whitecloak.  So it could happen... :)

Well, the Forsaken will die. ;)

As far as our heroes go, not sure. I think there is a good chance Rand will die, but not completely sure about that. I think Mat and Perin are pretty safe to survive.

Of the Two Rivers women I think they're all pretty safe as well. Although it wouldn't hurt my feelings if Egwene died, even though for once she was actually likable in the last book. I think Elayne and Min are pretty safe as well. I think Lan is pretty safe as well since he is married to Nynaeve.

I think there will likely be carnage amongst the bit players. Verin, Cadsuane, Aiel Chieftains and Wiseones etc are probably on the chopping block.
I could have been a contender.

ummm...if one of them dies, they all die, right? or is that only true before the Last Battle...?

I think that is only true before the Last Battle. Otherwise Mat might be more worried about Rand. ;)

Always have enjoyed how much these three best friends have really been divided because of their destinies.

rand is still supposed to "bind the nine moons to serve him". and perrin is still dealing with the aiel who took his wife, so, hopefully, they aren't absolutely divided....i think that the pattern is still weaving their destinies to a single purpose (destroying---or at least imprisoning the dark one and his minions..). they need to get to rand soon, right? since mat and perrin keep on getting these visions of rand...

quick question: how come women can't be ta'veren? :)

oh..and that leash made for a man who can channel still worries me....

First of all, I don't think that being ta'veren is a male thing only.  The definition in the glossary isn't gender specific; it uses the word "people".

Second, I think the male a'dam will be used at some point.  RJ made it too big a deal plot-wise for it to be tossed aside.

I think it would be kind of neat for DOTNM to try and bind Rand (which I'm sure is a plan to the Seanchan), and it backfire, giving Rand power over her somehow.

And ta'veren aren't all men, weren't the Heroes of the Ages (IE Horn of Valere (I think)) Ta'veren? Which would include Birgette?

Well, isn't there still a prophecy where Rand does go to Seanchen and meet the Empress?

i dont think that elayne can die yet...the royal blood of andor will be the key to the dark one's defeat (elaida's very first fortelling)...if i remember correctly..
