Mistborn: The Final Empire impressions (no spoilers)

I got the book friday, and so far I've read about half of it. I like it. His world has an interesting background, the magic system is original, and the characters are likable. Over all so far a very enjoyable book.

Anybody else reading it yet?

You don't have to wait to travel. It is a good book. Plus there is a sequel if you need another book to read while traveling. :)

I finished reading the book. It was really good, I enjoyed it greatly. There were some explanations at the end I didn't fully like, but they are something that could be clarified in the 2nd book or the 3rd. Overall a very good read and I can't wait to start the 2nd book.

Couldn't agree more, I really am impressed with Sandersons ability to come up with unique and original magic systems, Elantris and Mistborn have both blown me out of the water and made me a fan, I definitely see why he was chosen to finish WoT.

Really enjoyed the Final Empire. I'd give it 9.0/10, definitely higher than a lot of WoT novels.

Was definitely disappointed with one part, but as i'm reading the second, I've started appreciating it. Todd/anyone who's read it so far probably knows what I'm talking about. I really enjoyed that character. I'll miss em.

I finally started reading the book and have to agree. Can't say much about it yet because I'm only halfway through, but so far I really like the background, the characters and how the plot is going.

It came as a surprise to me, because I like Vin, and enjoyed watching her progress. I still do, for some part... but it's not the same anymore, somehow.
