Well I know Tobey McGuire isn't returning, I read on digg they are already searching for a new Peter Parker for Spider Man 4.

As far as Kirstin Dunst I was just spouting off. lol
I could have been a contender.

Ah, as far as I knew his answer was still: "If all the right pieces come together" blah blah blah.

But back on Terminator as the topic is titled, I read they're developing a new trilogy that will be based on the actual War in the future.

I guess (funnily enough, tying in to our off-topic discussion), the chick from Spider-man 3 who played Gwen Stacey, will be Connor's wife, and Connor himself will be played by Christian Bale.
I believe the world is burning to the ground.

Si vis pacem, para bellum.

If you would have peace, prepare for war.

I hadn't heard about the wife, but I had heard about Christian Bale playing John Connor. I can't say I really liked the guy who played John Connor in the 3rd movie.
I could have been a contender.

>> what you like the whiny brat from the second movie? I prefer the John Connor from the third movie to the second one.

I LOVED both Terminator movies (haven't been up to seeing T3 yet, it looked like it'd blow). T2 is probably one of my favourite action movies of all time. Yes, I *am* easy to please, now that you mention it.

I coincidentally spent the entire weekend watching The Sarah Connor Chronicles series 1 (my hubby and me were looking for a series we hadn't watched yet and presto, SCC it was), and I liked it well enough. The only thing that drove me crazy was: Why the HELL do they keep shooting the metal with guns? Seriously, dudes, the guns don't harm them, come up with a new plan. Totin a whole arsenal with you as you flee the machines is just pointless if the bullets do no harm, no?

Plus, the time travel thing is just weird. I mean, there's John, aged 16 or so, watching his 5 year old dad! TOO freaky, seriously. I also took exception to some time-space dilemma's with the time-travel thing; some real paradox type things that bugged me, but I can't name any of them right this moment.

I have to say, since it's literally been years since I (and most people) watched the first 2 movies, nothing about the canon bothered me. I took the date-shift of Judgement day as a delay caused by the death of that Miles Davies guy, and Skynet having to be founded by someone else now, but like I said, I'm very easy to please about stuff like this.

Oh, and Summer? Love her. Would see anything with her in it. She's incredible, and it's really gratifying seeing this rail-thin little slip of a girl throwing big strong mean machines around like so many rag dolls. Great stuff.
